In order to inherit the traditional culture of the Chinese nation and enrich the company's civilized practical activities in the new era, the company's labor union recently organized an experience activity for employees to make traditional Zongzi (sticky rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves) for the Dragon Boat Festival.
In the canteen, staff members had arranged neatly all the necessary ingredients for making Zongzi, including soaked glutinous rice, cleaned bamboo leaves, prepared honey dates, braised pork, and more. Invited experts in Zongzi making sat together with eager beginners, passing on their skills. The experts moved with practiced dexterity, skillfully folding the bamboo leaves into a funnel shape, filling them with glutinous rice and pressing it down, wrapping the leaves around the funnel, and tying them securely with strings, quickly shaping the Zongzi. The beginners followed suit, though initially somewhat clumsy, but after a few tries, they also managed to make Zongzi that looked quite presentable. After everyone's careful handiwork, a variety of Zongzi of all shapes and sizes were neatly stacked. The canteen then boiled them all together and distributed them to the factories in the Juegang headquarters, Xiaoyangkou, and Yangkou Port Development Zone, where they were given out free of charge to the employees on duty with their meals.
This activity vividly showcased the unique charm of traditional Chinese culture while also providing a great opportunity for employees to communicate and collaborate.
