On 20–21 March 2025, the learning achievement report and assessment meeting of the Star Power Program on the dual improvement of talent capability and quality was held in a seventh-floor classroom at the company headquarters. Chairman Zhou Xinji and other senior company leaders attended the full session.
In March 2024, to improve the team management, communication and coordination, strategy execution, analysis and problem-solving abilities and professional skills of young cadres and backbone employees, achieve a dual improvement in quality and capability, and provide talent support for the company’s sustainable, healthy and rapid development, the company partnered with the Jiangsu Jicui Advanced Fiber Materials Research Institute and, drawing on the faculty of Donghua University, organized and implemented the XINGI TECH Star Power Program—a project for the dual improvement of talent quality and capability. Over nearly a year, eight experts and professors taught the trainees across 15 courses covering management, production and professional knowledge, and a closing ceremony was held on 12 March 2025.At the assessment meeting, each of the 56 trainees reported on what they had learned over the past year, their reflections and their outlook for future work in light of their own work practice. Chairman Zhou Xinji and other company leaders asked questions and gave comments on site for each trainee based on the content of the report and on the trainee’s position and business scope, and set out their expectations and the direction for future efforts.
Chairman Zhou Xinji stressed at the meeting that achievement comes from learning, that corporate development requires all employees to keep learning, and that those who do not learn will be left behind, will not accomplish anything and will not grow and progress. Chairman Zhou hoped that all trainees would carry the enthusiasm for learning shown during the training into the future, apply the knowledge taught by their instructors flexibly in their practical work, and influence and motivate colleagues around them to grow and progress together. He asked all trainees to apply what they learn and unite knowledge with action, to work together in solidarity and pool their strength, to strengthen communication and mutual cooperation, and to be strict with themselves and temper their willpower. He encouraged them to advance toward new goals with an empty-cup mindset and to grow and progress together with the company. It was reported that, in order to make a comprehensive, accurate, objective and fair assessment of the trainees’ learning over the past year and of the training’s effectiveness, the company’s Human Resources Department drew up a trainee evaluation plan. In addition to the learning achievement reports, trainees were to be evaluated through a public opinion survey covering dimensions such as professional ability, basic qualities, management ability, attitude and values. Combined with their overall performance during the training, this would build a three-dimensional profile of each trainee and provide a basis for the company’s talent selection.
