From 2 to 6 June 2025, the global maritime industry gathering Nor-Shipping was held in Oslo. The exhibition was organized by the well-known Norwegian exhibition institution NOVA SPEKTRUM (formerly the Norwegian Trade Fair). With the careful organization and support of the Trade Promotion Committee of the Nantong Municipal Bureau of Commerce (Nantong Council for the Promotion of International Trade), XINGI TECH Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “XINGI TECH”), as an outstanding representative of Nantong’s marine economy sector, travelled to Northern Europe with its core products, actively opened up the European market and successfully received government and institutional leaders who came to offer guidance.

During the exhibition, the XINGI TECH booth attracted many international professional buyers. The company focused on displaying the new material behind products such as high-strength fishing nets for deep-sea environments, deep-sea mooring ropes and cables, and industrial lifting slings—ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fiber—fully demonstrating its innovative strength and reliable quality in material science and marine engineering applications and effectively raising the awareness and influence of the “Made in Nantong” and “XINGI TECH” brands in the European market.
On 4 June, Wang Xiaobin, Vice Mayor of Nantong, led a delegation to the XINGI TECH booth to visit and offer guidance. The Vice Mayor and his delegation learned in detail about the technical features, application scenarios and market development of the products the company exhibited, and spoke highly of XINGI TECH’s commitment to technological innovation and its active expansion into international markets. The Vice Mayor encouraged the company to seize the strategic opportunities of Nantong’s seaward development and deep cultivation of the marine economy, continue to increase investment in research and development, constantly enhance the core competitiveness of its products, bring more high-quality “Nantong smart manufacturing” products to high-end global markets and contribute more to the high-quality development of Nantong’s marine economy.
Nor-Shipping is one of the world’s most influential and forward-looking maritime and ocean industry gatherings, known as the “Olympics of the maritime industry,” and brings together leading shipowners, shipyards, equipment suppliers, technical service providers and industry decision-makers from around the world. Taking part in this exhibition was of great significance to XINGI TECH. It was not only a window for showcasing cutting-edge products and connecting with international customers, but also a strategic move by Nantong to actively integrate into the global marine economy network and promote the internationalization of local enterprises, highly consistent with the city’s strategic plan to build a new highland of marine economy in the Yangtze River Delta region and develop its seaward economy.
The high-performance fiber products exhibited by XINGI TECH are a microcosm of the vigorous development of Nantong’s marine industry. With their excellent corrosion resistance, high strength and long service life, these products have broad application prospects in key areas such as the fixing of deep-sea aquaculture cages, the mooring and lifting of large marine engineering structures, deep-sea fishing equipment and offshore energy facilities such as wind power, providing solid and reliable equipment support for the sustainable development and utilization of marine resources.
On this trip to Norway, XINGI TECH not only showed the world the strength of Chinese enterprises in the field of marine engineering materials, but also received the earnest care and strong support of its home city government. In the future, XINGI TECH will continue to deepen its work in marine science and technology, drive development through innovation and actively participate in global competition and cooperation, contributing its wisdom and strength to Nantong’s efforts to build a strong marine city and to the implementation of China’s strategy of building a maritime power.
