On 14 October 2025, a Venezuelan delegation accompanied by the China Fishing Vessels and Fishery Machinery Association (CFVFMA) visited XINGI TECH Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “XINGI TECH”) for exchange and inspection. The delegation conducted in-depth research focused on innovative applications of materials for marine fishery equipment, and XINGI TECH Chairman Zhou Xinji personally received the visitors and accompanied the tour.
In the morning, the delegation first arrived at XINGI TECH’s production base in the Yangkougang Economic Development Zone. In the production workshop, members observed the full process of core techniques for ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fiber, including spinning, drawing, and winding, and handled finished yarn packages up close to experience directly the material’s properties of being “light as a cicada’s wing and stronger than steel.” The fiber offers high strength, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and low specific gravity. Its breaking strength is more than 15 times that of ordinary steel, and it resists aging in seawater, making it an ideal material for marine fishery equipment.
The delegation then went to XINGI TECH’s headquarters, where it learned about the company’s history, product technology iterations, and downstream application scenarios in detail at the 12th-floor exhibition hall. During the discussion, the two sides held lively talks on the application of UHMWPE fiber in fishery equipment such as fishing nets, ropes and cables, and aquaculture cages. As the “bridge” for this visit, the China Fishing Vessels and Fishery Machinery Association has long maintained close cooperation with XINGI TECH. Over the years the company has actively participated in industry standard setting, technology innovation seminars, and industrial upgrading projects, and its UHMWPE fiber products are a strongly recommended material for upgrading fishery equipment. The Association fully recognizes XINGI TECH’s technological leadership in the high-performance fiber field and specially included the company as a key stop for the Venezuelan delegation, aiming to showcase the innovative strength of China’s fishery equipment materials by using one example to illustrate the wider picture.
In the afternoon, the delegation traveled to Xiaoyangkou National Fishing Port to inspect port operations and management, fishing vessel equipment configuration, and fishermen’s working practices on site. The delegation boarded a fishing vessel to learn in detail about cases of Chinese vessels upgrading fishing gear materials and exchanged practical experience with local fishermen. The port visit gave the delegation a direct sense of the complete chain of China’s fishery equipment, from “material innovation” to “industrial application.”The visit by the Venezuelan delegation not only recognized XINGI TECH’s technological strength but also strengthened the company’s determination to step onto the world stage. XINGI TECH Chairman Zhou Xinji said: “The company will take this visit as an opportunity to deepen collaborative innovation with industry associations and international markets, promote the wide application of high-performance fiber technology in the global fishery sector, and contribute Chinese wisdom to the sustainable development of the marine economy.”
