Industry leaders gathered in Rudong, Jiangsu, pooling their insights to chart a new direction. On 8 January 2026, the 2025 Annual Meeting of the UHMWPE Fiber Branch of the China Chemical Fibers Association (CCFA) was held in Rudong, Jiangsu. The meeting was hosted by the China Chemical Fibers Association and XINGI TECH Co., Ltd. and organized by the UHMWPE Fiber Branch of the China Chemical Fibers Association. Chen Xinwei, President of the China Chemical Fibers Association, Lyu Jiabin, Vice President, Chen Yinjun, a researcher at Donghua University, and representatives from major domestic producers of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fiber and related enterprises gathered to discuss new paths for the industry’s development. Zhou Xinji, Chairman of XINGI TECH Co., Ltd., attended the meeting.
The meeting was chaired by Lyu Jiabin, Vice President of the Association. Yuan Ye, Deputy Secretary-General of the Branch, presented the Research on the 15th Five-Year Plan for the High-Performance Fiber Industry (Draft for Discussion), outlining a clear blueprint for the industry’s future. Chen Yinjun, a researcher at Donghua University, gave a dedicated presentation on the current state of technology development in the industry, analyzed in depth the problems it faces and the directions for breakthroughs, and offered a professional outlook on its prospects. Representatives held candid exchanges on production and operations, market supply and demand, and other conditions since 2025, and held in-depth discussions on issues including product R&D, green production, cost reduction and efficiency improvement, equipment intelligence, and environmental requirements in production processes, contributing suggestions to the 15th Five-Year Plan for the high-performance fiber industry and jointly exploring a path of high-quality development.
Chen Xinwei, President of the China Chemical Fibers Association, fully affirmed the achievements of the UHMWPE fiber industry and stated clearly that during the 15th Five-Year Plan period it would remain a strategic emerging industry supported by the state. In light of the new situation, he put forward five suggestions. First, focus on collaborative innovation to drive quality upgrading: build joint R&D mechanisms with upstream partners, share data, optimize raw material performance, and improve product quality across the industrial chain. Second, focus on technological iteration to empower industry development: continue to advance green, low-carbon, intelligent, and high-value technology upgrades so as to reduce costs, raise efficiency, and improve quality. Third, target performance differentiation to deepen application scenarios: cultivate refined and differentiated dual-use military and civilian fields and tap potential consumer demand. Fourth, give play to the Branch’s role as a bridge between government and enterprises: conduct research and assessment on export controls to serve the industry’s development. Fifth, build consensus on development and foster a sound ecosystem: deepen exchanges and cooperation.As a leading enterprise in the UHMWPE fiber industry, XINGI TECH feels a strong sense of mission and responsibility.
