XINGI TECH Fiber R&D Team Attends Jicui Smart Manufacturing CTO Advanced Training Program

On July 26, General Manager Zhu Jianjun led a team of 10 from the company’s R&D department in attending the Jicui Smart Manufacturing CTO Advanced Training Program, which was planned and organized by Jiangsu Jicui Advanced Fiber Materials Research Institute Co., Ltd. (the Institute of Advanced Functional Fibers and Applied Technology under the Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute).

To improve the core competencies of the company’s technical R&D personnel, build a senior R&D team with both strategic thinking and executive management capabilities, and drive the company’s high-quality development, the company began cooperating with Jiangsu Jicui Advanced Fiber Materials Research Institute Co., Ltd. in July on systematic training for fiber technology R&D staff. The curriculum covers development trends in advanced fiber materials and the industrial application of technologies, trends in the development and application of functional fibers, digital and intelligent development paths for the advanced fiber industry, the collection and analysis of R&D and technical intelligence, how R&D staff can conduct patent searches efficiently, the management and control of R&D costs, and intellectual property strategy and patent portfolio planning. It also includes field visits to Fortune Global 500 companies for a close-up view of the R&D and innovation results of leading enterprises. The program lasts six months.

July 26 marked the opening ceremony and the first class. Ms. Zhu Meifang, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, fiber materials expert, Dean of the College of Materials Science and Engineering at Donghua University and Director of the State Key Laboratory for Modification of Chemical Fibers and Polymer Materials, attended the training session in person and delivered remarks. Academician Zhu elaborated on the original purpose of the program and on the current status and prospects of the fiber industry, and introduced the experts lecturing that day. In the morning, Dr. Yan Wei lectured on “Smart Fibers: The Intelligent Thread Connecting the Future”; in the afternoon, Dr. Chen Fengkun lectured on “Two Forms of R&D: A Brief Discussion of the Similarities and Differences Between Academic Research and Corporate R&D”.

Participants said that the training courses covered a broad range of knowledge and a large volume of information, helping them keep abreast of international frontier developments, gain insight into industry directions and broaden their forward-looking horizons, and that they believed it would greatly benefit their future R&D work and provide innovative momentum and intellectual support for the company’s goal of becoming a world-class provider of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fiber application solutions.
