On the morning of May 21, the 5th Nantong Business Conference and the city’s Private Economy Development Conference, themed “Pooling Strength for a New Nantong, Forging Ahead in a New Era,” was held. The company’s Chairman Zhou Xinji was invited to attend the conference and was honored with the title of “Outstanding Nantong Businessperson.”
It is reported that the “Outstanding Nantong Businessperson” selection aims to encourage Nantong businesspeople to keep to the right direction of development with greater resolve, to follow “their own path” with greater determination and to achieve greater accomplishments with a broader vision; to set out anew in revitalizing the real economy, pursuing innovation-driven development, sharing the fruits of development and carrying forward the entrepreneurial spirit of the new era; and to serve as pacesetters in the transformation and development of the real economy, pioneers in innovation-driven development, practitioners who value both righteousness and profit and give back to society, and exemplars who guide social conduct.
Good news followed: on the evening of May 22, the award ceremony of the 6th Rudong Enterprise “Golden Bull Award” was successfully held, and the company’s Chairman Zhou Xinji was named Rudong County’s second “Zhang Jian-style” Outstanding Entrepreneur (the only recipient), with the award presented to him in person by a former senior leader of Jiangsu Province.
To carry forward the spirit of Zhang Jian and actively cultivate “Zhang Jian-style” entrepreneurs of the new era, the Rudong County authorities added the “Zhang Jian-style” Outstanding Entrepreneur award from the 5th Enterprise Golden Bull Awards onward, selecting only one recipient each time. The award focuses on outstanding entrepreneurs who have achieved remarkable results in continuously advancing corporate technological innovation, project investment, transformation and upgrading, becoming stronger and better and leading industry development; who have made outstanding contributions to the county’s fiscal revenue; who are highly representative, well recognized and widely influential in the county’s economic development; who are devoted to the country, the people, their families and their employees; and who actively take part in public welfare causes with a strong sense of responsibility for the nation and home.
Having been honored by the city and the county on two consecutive days, Chairman Zhou was deeply moved. He said this was both recognition and a form of pressure. Going forward, he would turn pressure into motivation, continue to maintain a modest and prudent attitude and the courage to forge ahead, keep practicing and promoting the entrepreneurial spirit of the new era, carry forward Zhang Jian’s spirit, and unite and lead the company’s employees in making new contributions to the high-quality development of the local economy and society.
