On 16-17 May, the 8th General Assembly of the China Fishing Vessels and Fishery Machinery Association (CFVFMA, hereinafter referred to as “the Association”) and the Fishery Equipment Industry Development Conference were successfully held in Rudong. More than 200 delegates from across the country, representing fishing vessel, fishing, fishery machinery and fishing net and gear manufacturing enterprises, facility-based fishery enterprises, as well as related research institutes, professional colleges and relevant local industry associations (chambers of commerce), gathered in Rudong for the event. Key leaders from the relevant departments and bureaus of national ministries and commissions, the agriculture and rural affairs system of Jiangsu Province and several national first-tier associations attended the conference. The conference was hosted by XINGI TECH Co., Ltd., and Mr. Zhou Xinji, Secretary of the CPC Party Committee and Chairman of the company, was invited to deliver a welcome address on site.
The conference had a rich agenda with closely connected sessions. At the meeting, delegates reviewed and voted on important matters including the Association’s work report, amendments to its articles of association and nominations for council members, and awards and medals were presented on site to outstanding individuals and units of the Association. Chairman Zhou Xinji was also presented with a certificate as Vice Chairman of the Association on site. In addition, the conference arranged several high-level and substantive forums, including expert reports and keynote speeches. Mr. Niu Yanfeng, Chief Engineer of our company and President of the XINGI TECH Research Institute, was invited to give an expert report on site titled “Development and Applications of UHMWPE Fiber”.
XINGI TECH has always maintained close exchanges and cooperation with the Association. On the one hand, the company’s core product, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fiber, offers excellent properties such as friction resistance, corrosion resistance, ultraviolet resistance and low biofouling, and has been widely used in deep-sea fishing, cage aquaculture and other fields, delivering good economic and environmental benefits. On the other hand, our company and the relevant units of the Association have jointly held numerous themed events and expert meetings. XINGI TECH remains as enthusiastic as ever and is willing to work together with the Association to make its due contribution to promoting the healthy and sustainable development of China’s fishery industry.
The conference was high-level, far-reaching, rich in content and demanding in its standards. To prepare well for the conference, XINGI TECH drew on young key staff to form a dedicated service team, which was divided into groups with assigned duties covering matters such as transport, accommodation and catering arrangements and venue setup. All staff stayed at their posts and worked together, doing their utmost to ensure the success of the conference and, with warm and thoughtful service, leaving the attending leaders and guests with a pleasant experience. The smooth holding of the conference would not have been possible without the support and understanding of the attending leaders and guests. XINGI TECH will carefully review its work and make further efforts, in the hope of hosting various events again in the future.
