Gathering Again by the South Yellow Sea, Linking the Fiber Future: XINGI TECH Successfully Hosts the 2024 Annual Meeting of the UHMWPE Fiber Branch of the China Chemical Fibers Association and the Industry High-Quality Development Forum

On September 20, the 2024 Annual Meeting of the UHMWPE Fiber Branch of the China Chemical Fibers Association (CCFA) and the Industry High-Quality Development Forum were held in Rudong, Jiangsu. More than 100 representatives from enterprises across the upstream and downstream UHMWPE fiber industry chain, universities and research institutes attended the meeting. The meeting was hosted by the China Chemical Fibers Association and jointly organized by the UHMWPE Fiber Branch of the China Chemical Fibers Association and XINGI TECH Co., Ltd. XINGI TECH Chairman Zhou Xinji attended the meeting and received on site a letter of appointment as rotating chairman of the UHMWPE Fiber Branch of the China Chemical Fibers Association. Liu Susu, Deputy Director of the Composite Materials Research Institute of the XINGI TECH Research Institute, delivered a keynote report at the meeting, and key company leaders and colleagues from the R&D, production and sales departments attended to learn.

The meeting had a rich and substantive agenda. At the start of the meeting, Zhu Meifang, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Dean of the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Donghua University, delivered a video address, and Dai Feng, Deputy County Mayor of the Rudong County People’s Government, and Chen Xinwei, President of the China Chemical Fibers Association, delivered on-site addresses. Wang Jian, Second-Class Principal Staff Member of the Second Licensing Division of the Security and Control Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce, and Zhao Mingxia, Director of the International Trade Office of the China National Textile and Apparel Council (CNTAC) and Vice President of its Institute of Industrial Economics, then interpreted and shared insights on UHMWPE fiber export policy and the trend of the internationalization layout of China’s textile industry.

In addition, during the morning session the meeting invited Yu Junrong, Professor at the School of Materials of Donghua University; Liu Susu, Lecturer at Nantong University and Deputy Director of the Composite Materials Research Institute of the XINGI TECH Research Institute; and Guo Zixian, Chairman of Jiangsu Shenhe Technology Development Co., Ltd., to deliver keynote reports on preparation technology and process optimization of UHMWPE fiber, applied research in the ultra-high, ultra-light, ultra-thin and wear-resistant fields, and progress in production technology innovation and equipment development.

At the end of the morning session, a handover ceremony for the UHMWPE Fiber Branch of the China Chemical Fibers Association was held on site. XINGI TECH Chairman Zhou Xinji was elected rotating chairman for the current term, and Chen Xinwei, President of the China Chemical Fibers Association, presented the letter of appointment to Chairman Zhou on site.

In the afternoon session, Wang Xinwei, Deputy Director of the Organic Chemical Research Institute of the Shanghai Research Institute of Chemical Industry; Ouyang Shaoping, General Manager of Zhejiang Keboli New Materials Co., Ltd.; Ma Pibo, Vice Dean of the School of Textile Science and Engineering of Jiangnan University; and Dr. Liu Jie of Shandong University of Science and Technology delivered keynote reports on research progress in ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene specialty resin and fiber, research on biomimetic material technology for UHMWPE fiber, domestic and international progress in UHMWPE fiber and ballistic composite materials, and UHMWPE melt spinning technology and its industrialization.

XINGI TECH has long maintained close exchanges and cooperation with the China Chemical Fibers Association. Thanks to the association’s trust and support, this meeting was another industry gathering of the UHMWPE Fiber Branch of the China Chemical Fibers Association hosted by XINGI TECH. To prepare for the meeting, XINGI TECH set up a dedicated service team to assist the association with matters such as driver and vehicle transfers, accommodation and catering arrangements, and venue setup, striving to leave attending leaders and guests with a pleasant experience through warm and thoughtful service. The smooth holding of the meeting also depended on the support and understanding of the attending leaders and guests. XINGI TECH will carefully review its work and make further efforts, hoping to host various events again in the future. It also sincerely welcomes friends to continue following and supporting XINGI TECH’s development and to jointly promote the vigorous development of the UHMWPE fiber industry.
