On 14 April, the CPC Nantong Municipal Committee and the Nantong Municipal Government held the first-quarter project inspection meeting. Jiangsu XINGI TECH New Material Co., Ltd., as Rudong’s only inspection site, received the delegation. Chairman Zhou Xinji reported to Huang Weidong, Chairman of the Nantong Municipal CPPCC, Zhuang Zhongqiu, Executive Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Nantong Municipal People’s Congress, and Shen Lei, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Nantong Municipal Committee, and their party on the construction status of the UHMWPE fiber project at the Yangkougang plant and its future development plan, and the leaders taking part in the inspection fully affirmed XINGI TECH’s project.
The project is located in the Yangkougang Economic Development Zone, with planned total investment of RMB 4.45 billion, including RMB 1.96 billion in equipment, and an annual output of 20,000 tons of UHMWPE fiber. Construction began in July 2022. The project is currently under intensive construction: the civil works of some main plant buildings have been topped out and interior and exterior finishing is under way, while auxiliary buildings and related supporting facilities are being built. The company is steadily and systematically advancing construction according to the established plan, aiming to complete, start production and generate revenue as early as possible, providing new momentum for the company’s earnings growth and Rudong’s local economic development.
